Roman Scott remembered....

Not very long after Roman was told that he didn't have much longer to live, he received an e-mail from a friend of his father who had started making a video for Roman from when he was a baby up until 2015. I only saw the first draft of this video, until today, when I found the finished video in Romans inbox. I absolutely love it! It made me smile, but more importantly, it made me cry, as it touched my heart in ways I didn't expect. It brought me right back to my wonderful life with him, and it made me miss him even more! Not a single hour goes by without me being reminded and thinking of him, and this is a beautiful tribute to the love of my life!! Always and forever!!!
Many thanks to Theresa McNally for making this!!

  2. Mister Roman Scott

    by John Kaniecki

    The city will always survive
But you say hello I’m alive
With colors mixing in great appeal
Yes you say hello I am real

The city it has a heart
    A life that’s not forgot
You can see it in the art
    Of Mister Roman Scott

On these dusty streets I walk
Your vision it hears them talk
    They whisper secrets so faint
You capture them when you paint

The city it has a heart
    A life that’s not forgot
You can see it in the art
    Of Mister Roman Scott

    Hidden in Brooklyn
    A good place to begin
    You’re living your dream
    A pictorial scene
And your art is your life
Sacred to you like a wife
    Take your woman close
Show us what no one knows

    Dali, Picasso, Van Gogh
You know what the masters know
Take your desire let it grow
Take your fire and don’t let go

The city it has a heart
    A life that’s not forgot
You can see it in the art
    Of Mister Roman Scott

    2. I knew Roman at University of Denver in 1984. Then I hung out with him again in New York in the late 80s until I left in 1996. He was a good friend, and I cry often that he left, I was just thinking how I could talk to him again and saw that he died on this website. We were part of the Friday night painting club in Denver and have been friends ever since. Although it's been 7-8 years since I talked to him.

    5. Hi there, Jon.
It is always really nice to hear from old friends of Romans. By old friends, I mean friends who knew him before I came into his life, friends who knew him in a part of his life that I wish I had been a part of as well. I often wonder if we would have fallen in love with each other back then as well:-)
Roman dying was a huge loss, but we were both well prepared for it when it happened. I think he surprised the doctors by staying alive for as long as he did, and he really struggled until the very end!
Of course you can get a copy of the Tarot Cards. All you need to do is provide me with an e-mail address that is connected to paypal (Roman set the price to US$75) and I will get the ball rolling for you!
Thanks for being one of Romans friends!!
      Yours,

    6. ok, I appreciate that is great. I can't believe it took me this long to see you replied. Thank you for that. I am having some financial problems right now, but when I have it, I will certainly get that deck of tarot cards, thanks. Yes, I don't know why, but me and Roman were good friends for a long time.

    7. What are the cards made of? Are they nice, one day I really would like to buy these. I really am interested in studying these-- his final work. Knowing Roman, this will help me understand him more.
